The SNP Government saved Prestwick Airport and hundreds of jobs in 2013. The UK Conservative Government would have let it go bust then and would do so again if it were up to them, but local Conservative MSP John Scott says he’s had ‘direct discussions with the cabinet secretary‘ so he gets his photo on the page.
In 2013, then Conservative MSP, Brian Monteith called for the airport to ‘be grounded‘, that is shut down:
He was not contradicted by his colleagues. None campaigned to save it. Maybe Scott did something but not much, because he can’t, because the Conservative Party believes in hard laws of the market.
