The Ayrshire Post asks two opposition MSPs about the threat to jobs in hospitality, due to the pandemic. Both are careful to tell us that they know lives come first but that they are ‘concerned’, even ‘particularly concerned.’
Both then demand that the Scottish Government provide financial support, forgetting conveniently that only the UK Government has the borrowing powers to enable it provide that support.
Neither seem to plan to actually do anything about the situation, even write to Boris or Sir Keir, but they are ‘concerned.’
